en you are down. Like good wine it has its many flavours and strengths based on the climate and soil conditions-from the exclusive ‘silver tip’ to the Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP). Tea can be enjoyed hot or chilled, with lime or ginger, plain or with milk and many flavours from mint to strawberry, mango and much more!

You could take an entire Plantation bungalow and stay in a near-100 year old Tea Factory turned hotel, go on a tea pluck, see how tea is made in a factory, hike through the cool climes of the hill country- home to the worlds best tea and when the day is done sip it in the clouds far away from it all

Play Golf, go horse riding or just take a leisurely walk in the cool hills. Hike to a montane forest plateau – Horton Plains and see the “edge of the world”- Worlds end from +6000 feet up. Trout streams that meander through its gently undulating plains, culminating in Bakers Falls. See the red endemic Rhododendron, lichens and “old mans beard” that grows on the stunted trees of this wind swept misty plain. The plains are home to the majestic Sambhur deer and monkey and if you are lucky, even that elusive nocturnal hunter, the leopard.

Sip the local ‘wine’ of the east and come to know its many flavours and medicinal properties. A drink of celebration, a high tea, and an ode to the cup that cheers! Pure Ceylon Tea!
