Going back further, Sri Lanka is mentioned in several mythological stories which are preserved it the culture of its people.
Pre-history in Sri Lanka is equally rich with many discoveries that would put human inhabitation amongst some of the oldest to be discovered in the world. These discoveries demonstrate that pre-historic civilisation had been relatively advance, which is truly fascinating to the history enthusiast.
