Small as it is, the climate can be so diverse and varying in a matters of a few hours of travel. In general the weather is very humid at around 80% humidity and the temperature quite hot at times. Rain is seasonal with two main monsoon periods bring lots of rain to the country, although good sun shine does prevail during even the heaviest of rainfall. It is never gloomy for too long, when it rains it pours and its all to be enjoyed like the Sri Lankans do.
