Avani Bentota is a beach hotel of excellent quality fronting the turquoise seas of Bentota, a much-loved family resort on Sri Lanka's popular south-west coast. The journey from Colombo’s international airport to Bentota will take about two hours via the Southern highway.

Visit the nearby Lunuganga –a garden retreat that was created by Sri Lanka’s iconic architect, Geoffrey Bawa. The Lunuganga gardens were a life long project cherished by Bawa and designed with numerous varieties of foliage, many pavilions, and statues.
Visit Kosgoda’s Marine Turtle hatchery – a valuable conservation project that protects the endangered Marine Turtles of Sri Lanka.
Experience the southern folklore and cultural heritage with a visit to the Ariyapala Mask Museum in Ambalangoda where intricate masks used in various southern traditional dance forms are on display. Masked dancing is also performed here regularly.
