Located just south of Bentota, the journey from Colombo’s international airport takes about two hours via the Southern Highway. The historic city of Galle is about 45 minutes away.
True to its name, the !! is a light and airy beach villa with a Mediterranean feel edged by the turquoise seas. This two-storey, tropical modern beach villa is designed with white washed walls and large glass windows that provides for uninterrupted sea views. Interiors are decorated with plush white sofas and contemporary local art. The !!can accommodateup to 10 guests and is rented to one party at a time on a villa only basis. There is a wide, 1km long virtually private beach.

There are five bedrooms with two located on the ground floor and three on the upper floor in !!. Bedrooms are well furnished with king sized four-poster beds (1 room has 2 twin beds) & air-conditioning. All open out to sea views. All have ensuite bathrooms with h/w showers.

The living and dining rooms located on the ground flooropen on to a long terrace overlooking the swimming pool and sea beyond. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a large roof top terrace for taking in the spectacular sunsets. The upper floor rooms all enjoy along sea-view balcony. Theprivate gardens scattered with coconut palms, leads down to the sea where swimming is possible during the season from December to May. Further, the rocky outcrops on one side of the beach create little coves that are safe for a dip most of the year. Other villa facilities include a flat screen TV with satellite channels, DVD library, iPod music, books and board games. The !! is staffed with a cook who prepares Sri Lankan cuisine and some western dishes. He will also assist with purchasing your groceries. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages.

Water sports including surfing, snorkeling, jet skiing are on offer just nearby in Bentota and Hikkaduwa. Go out to sea in a catamaran with the fisherman or take a boat ride along the tranquil Madu River past quaint rural villages, en route, visit the local markets, temples & craft and antique shops. Visit Kosgoda’s Marine Turtle hatchery – a valuable conservation project that protects the endangered Marine Turtles of Sri Lanka. Experience Ambalangoda’s cultural heritage with a visit to the Ariyapala Mask Museum where intricate masks used in various southern traditional dance forms are on display. Masked dancing is also performed here regularly. A 45 minutes drive will take you to the historic town of Galle and the 17th century Dutch Fort, a UNESCO-protected World Heritage site. Explore Galle Fort’s narrow streets lined with Dutch and British colonial era buildings which are still in use, sturdy ramparts looking out to sea, the lighthouse, and a growing collection of museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants and cafes.
