You can swim here any time, and even small children can safely enjoy the water. On most days you can also swim in the open sea. The waters off this beach and around the south coast are free of Sharks or other such dangers, making it ideal for sea swimming during the season.

FacilitiesFacilities Ayurveda It's traditional, healthy and feels just fantastic! Wellness is about just relaxing in the massage house (with shower and toilet) while getting an aryurvedic massage.
To relax after swimming or snorkelling, just sit out on the garden terrace, look at the ocean, have a cool drink and - well, probably do just nothing at all. From here as well as from the room terrace upstairs you can watch the beautiful sunsets every day.
In the garden you can watch the many different colourful birds, and occasionally there'll be a few monkeys playing in the trees.

Yala National Wildlife Park in the south, is where you can see Elephants, Leopard, Bear and spectacular birds. Although a day tour is possible, a night out at Yala will give you the best in terms of an early morning or a late evening safari where animal activity is abundant. Kandy with the Temple of Tooth, is in the central hills of the island is also a day trip if you must, but can be very fulfilling with a night out. The "Cultural Triangle" with the ancient cities further to the north is visited by many guests. The 2 to 4 day roundtrip is very popular.
