The Garden House’s four en suite double rooms and separate Garden Cottage are designed to combine style with comfort. Balconies and private terraces offer extensive views and each room is furnished with a mix of antique and individual pieces including king size four poster beds and cooling overhead fans. Floors are of cool, polished cement or original Jak wood boards. High vaulted ceilings give a sense of space and light.
Luxurious En suite bathrooms are furnished to a high standard with powerful showers and plentiful hot water.

The house comes fully staffed with experienced, English speaking manager, housekeeper, cook and outdoor staff. A full laundry service is available.
Meals and drinks can be taken in the shade of the large, south facing verandah overlooking the gardens and paddy fields. Locally caught fish and seafood with tropical fruits and vegetables are the ingredients of delicious and imaginative menus that change daily. Special diets can be catered according to the requirement of the guests.
The large, infinity pool sits alongside paddy fields. Swim, laze in the shade of a tree and listen to the birds. Enjoy a drink, have lunch or just do nothing. There are plenty of quiet corners in the gardens in which to hide away, or unwind with a massage from the skilled Ayurveda therapist.
The Garden House is a perfect venue for yoga and meditation. Arrangements can be made to suit clients particular needs.

For those who wish to explore there is plenty to see locally. Take a bicycle or a three-wheeler (tuk tuk) along the back lanes and see village life unfold. There are temples galore often built in the most delightful settings. Spend time in Galle Fort and walk the ramparts at dusk to witness a glorious sunset or visit Matara with its historic Dutch Star Fort and bustling shops and markets. For the enthusiast birdlife is colourful and abundant and gardeners will enjoy the wonderful variety of plants and trees. Visit the tea estates of Dandeniya or explore the tropical rain forest of Sinharajah.
Beaches in the area include Unawatuna with its beautiful sweep of bay for all year round swimming as well as many quieter spots such as Mirissa and Tangalle which cater for sunbathers, swimmers and surfers or pick your own deserted cove along the way. Boat trips, snorkelling and diving can be arranged.
