Constructed from natural materials in an aesthetically and environmentally pleasing style, it is surprisingly plush inside. Ceiling fans, mosquito nets and an electric mosquito repellent is provided. The bathrooms are romantic, quirky and fun with a stone built sink and a semi-outdoor shower that left you feeling you were showering in the jungle. Unique features such as mirrors, lamps and furniture made out of reclaimed wood which is beautifully gnarled and twisted.

The 10 chalets in the main area include seven standard chalets, two deluxe chalets (triples) and one tree house, all blending into the natural wilderness to create the feeing that you are living in the forest. Chalets are rustic yet comfortable and have en suite bathrooms with hot and cold spout showers, wash basin and w/c. The deluxe chalets have two levels with a double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and a balcony and single bed room on the upper floor. Standard chalets have a bedroom opening out to a terrace area and are furnished with small double beds. The Tree House, accessed via a rope bridge, is built around a gigantic tree that has its roots gong through the bedroom - undisturbed as nature intended to. The furniture is made of drift wood and fallen tree branches. All chalets are equipped with mosquito netting. The balconies and terraces shaded with the surrounding jungle are ideal for bird watching. Well-lit stone pathways link the chalets to the main restaurant and reception area.

Meals are served at the main restaurant. Room service is available and coffee, tea and snacks can be brought to your chalet upon request. Western and Sri Lankan rice and curries are served at the restaurant. Several adventurous outdoor activities are on offer 20 minutes trek down to the bottom of the valley amidst vast acres of primary jungle, flowing rivers and rural villages. Here, camping within a jungle or river setting is possible with a camp fire and well organized BBQ dinner.

Caving is the recreational sport of exploring caves. Speleology is the scientific study of caves and the cave environment. The challenges of the sport depend on the cave being visited, but often include the negotiation of pitches, squeezes, and water. Climbing or crawling is often necessary, and ropes are used extensively. In recent times caving has changed considerably due to the availability of modern protective wear and equipment.

Cycling is a form of recreation and sport. Mountain biking usually refers to the sport of riding bicycles possessing particular design characteristics, mountain bikes, off-road, although sometimes the term simply refers to riding a mountain bike. The sport requires endurance, bike handling skills and self-reliance. Mountain biking is roughly broken down into five categories: cross country, downhill, free ride, dirt jump and trials/street riding. Mountain biking can be done anywhere from a back yard to a gravel road, but the majority of mountain bikers prefer to ride trails they call single-track. These are narrow trails that wind through forests or fields. Other trails are wide enough for more than one rider and referred to as "double track".

Hiking is a walking activity, undertaken with the specific purpose of exploring and enjoying the surroundings such as along trails in rural or wilderness areas. Trekking combines hiking and camping in a single trip. A backpacker hikes into the backcountry to spend one or more nights there, and carries supplies and equipment to satisfy sleeping and eating needs.

Nature Trail is a pedestrian path or road mainly used for walking, but often also for cycling. Some trails are off-limits to everyone other than hikers, and few trails allow motorized vehicles.

Rock climbing, broadly speaking, is the act of ascending steep rock formations. Normally, climbers use gear and safety equipment specifically designed for the purpose. Strength, endurance, and mental control are required to cope with tough, dangerous physical challenges, and knowledge of climbing techniques and the use of essential pieces of gear and equipment are crucial.

Fishing is the activity of hunting for fish by hooking, trapping, or gathering. Fishing is an ancient and worldwide practice with various techniques and traditions and it has been transformed by modern technological developments. In addition to providing food through harvesting fish, modern fishing is both a recreational and professional sport.

Boating, the leisurely activity of traveling by boat typically refers to the recreational use of boats whether power boats, sail boats, or yachts (large vessels), focused on the travel itself, as well as sports activities, such as fishing or waterskiing. Boating is an extremely popular activity, and there are millions of boaters worldwide.

Kayaking is the use of a kayak for moving across water. Kayaking is differentiated from canoeing by the fact that a kayak has a closed cockpit and a canoe has an open cockpit. They also use a two bladed paddle. Another major difference is in the way the paddler sits in the boat. Kayakers sit in a seat on the bottom of the boat with their legs extended out in front of them. Canoeists will either sit on an elevated bench seat or kneel directly on the bottom of the boat.
Canoeing is the activity of paddling a canoe for the purpose of recreation, sport, or transportation. It usually refers exclusively to using a paddle to propel a canoe with only human muscle power. A kayak is propelled using a paddle with two blades where the paddler sits with their legs in front of them, whereas canoes are propelled using single- or double-bladed paddles where the paddler is kneeling or sitting on a raised seat. Kayaks are usually closed-decked boats with a spraydeck, while canoes are usually open boats.

Canyoning (also known as canyoneering) is travelling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling, and/or swimming. Canyoning is frequently done in remote and rugged settings and often requires navigational, route-finding and other skills and preparation needed for wilderness travel.
