Set within lush tropical gardens leading upto the serene Bentota River, Hotel Shirim is the creation of its owner Gabriele, a specialist in reflexology and massage, and her Sri Lankan husband. Holistic wellness is promoted here amidst tranquil surroundings. Upon request, Gabriele shares her knowledge on mind and body wellness with guests which aids in making positive lifestyle changes. Hotel Shirim provides a distinctive holiday experience that combines Sri Lankan heritage with wellness within a homely and nurturing environment. |

Facilities Facilities Sri Lankan and international cuisine is served at an open-sided garden restaurant with views of the river. Meals are flexible and the preparation is closely supervised to suit the guest’s individual therapy programme. Fresh seafood, vegetables and fruit is purchased from the village market daily. Alcoholic beverages are not served here. The wellness centre consists of a therapy room and consultation area. Gabriele does the Reflexology massages herself and provides guidance on positive lifestyle changes that nurtures health and well-being. In addition, Gabriele also conducts `New Age’ seminars and workshops. Guests are welcome to come for a few nights of peaceful relaxation or for participation in the various wellness programmes on offer. Shirim’s landscaped gardens attract plenty of birds.
