Beach Resort Arugambay has for many years been the location of Ranga’s Beach Hut. Until management changed, or the original owners decided to manage the resort themselves that is. Since 2003 or so Ranga has relocated and developed opposite, on the other side of the small beach road. Pleasant tree houses belonging to the Hut are also erected in front, on the beach itself.
Arugambay Beach Resort has a totally different concept. Apart from a few nicely renovated bungalows the main accommodation consists of a large concrete structure situated near the beach road. In 2007 a new low level building on the left side of the premises (as you enter the grounds) has been completed and the resort seems to be popular with NGO’s such as Sewalanka Foundation. |
