A secure jungle camp style property, 7km from the entrance to the Ruhunu National Park (Yala Wildlife Sanctuary), with basic comforts. Located within walking distance of the beach, the camp is also just 6km off Kirinda Beach – access point to dive sites of Little Basses and Great Basses. Although outside the park, be cautious when venturing outside the 7 acre plot of land as the surroundings and vegetation is as though you were inside the park with some wildlife prowling around.
The twin cadjan pavilions provide accommodation for a maximum of 12 pax with a mix of ten single beds with mattresses and one double bed with mattress. 20 canvas camp beds and a Fly sheet (Tent) that sleeps 8 are also available on request. The inventory also carries 30 pillows, 20 Mosquito nets and crockery and cutlery for 12 persons. Linen and bedding are not provided
Facilities include Two toilets, Twin showers, Kitchen with a gas stove and gas BBQ, Hot water on tap, 16,000 Ltrs of water on site for general use, 570 Ltrs of filtered/bottled drinking water on site (Water Mart), Solar lighting system and two solar lanterns, 2 Solar fans, Solar Color TV, CD/Cassette/ Radio and a secure room for valuables.
The Full time cook will be happy to put together seasonal specialities such as Lobster and Tiger Prawns on the BBQ with some advance notice to shop for fresh catch.
