AccommodationAccommodation Chaaya Village's 108 newly refurbished, comfortable village-style dwellings consist of superior rooms, deluxe rooms and two exclusive suites. The spacious and comfortable rooms have ensuite bathrooms and a verandah overlooking the lake or garden that is ideal for hours of relaxation. All rooms have luxurious four poster beds, writing desk and sitting area. These luxurious rooms are furnished with king-sized four poster beds. In addition to the facilities described above, the deluxe rooms also have DVD facilities. c) Eagle Lodge: A luxurious suite king size four-poster bed and additional large sitting area. The elegant bathroom is fitted with a Jacuzzi and rainwater shower.

Located in a secluded spot at the edge of the lake, this private and utterly romantic suite, with spacious lounging, sleeping and dining areas overlooking the lake, lets you enjoy the surrounding wilderness and rural village life at your pace. Special room service, in-room dining facilities and romantic dinners outside by the lake are all part of the Kingfisher Lodge experience.
Facilities:Facilities: The main restaurant serves a mix of Western, Eastern and Sri Lankan meals. Meals from the a la carte menu are also served by the poolside. Romantic dinners by the lake or a picnic in the jungle can be organized for guests upon request. The well stocked Lounge Bar serves local and imported spirits, cocktails, and fruit juices. For those looking to laze about and relax, there is the three-tiered infinity pool set amidst the sprawling gardens with spectacular views of the lake, especially at sunset. For sports and recreation there is tennis court, a chess hut, a jungle gym and jogging tracks along the lake and through the wilderness. For those who prefer to let someone else do the walking, hop on an elephant and set off on a safari through the jungle. A Conference facility equipped with the latest audio/visual equipment and internet access is also available.
Excursions:Excursions: Chaaya Village has put together five interesting and adventurous excursions that guests can choose from incuding: a trek through scrub forests to the village of Hiriwadunna, which borders a reservoir where over 130 different bird species have been identified; a trek through the lush forest reserves of Namal Uyana with the largest Na tree (Sri Lanka's national tree) reserve in the South Asian region; scaling a sheer rock surface with panoramic views; exploring jungle caves and ruins of temples; a climb to the famous Rose Quartz deposits at Dambulla; and Ritigala's stone monastery. Guests can also experience village life, join a fisherman on his catamaran, ride a bullock cart and share a meal with a village family. At the end of each of the five trails, a sumptuous meal is included ranging from a picnic by the lake, on top of a mountainous summit or a seafood BBQ dinner by the poolside. Guests wanting to experience one of these excursions, which will take upto an entire day, must pre-pay and book at the time of arrival at the hotel. Beyond the village of Habrana, the entire Cultural Triangle lies in close proximity including the ancient cities of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Sigiriya. The Minneriya National Park, which is a mix of dry evergreen forest, scrub jungle and grassy plains and is dominated by the Minneriya Tank, is also located near by. Large groups of elephants, sambar deer and toque monkeys are regularly seen here, as well as plenty of bird life.
