Some of the endemic birds which could be seen include Yellow-eared Bulbul, Sri Lanka Myna and Dull-blue Flycatcher. You could also look for the endemic Tennent's Horned Lizard and the Keerthisinghe's Rock Frog, which are found only in the Knuckles wilderness area. Butterfly Species to see at Corbett's Gap include Common Birdwing (Troides darsius), Banded Peacock (Papilio crino), Red Helen (P. helenus), Common Bluebottle (Graphium sarpedon), Tree Nymph (Idea iasonia), Ceylon Tiger (Parantica taprobana) and Common Tree Brown (Lethe rohria). Philautua poppiae, a leaf-nesting new frog species recently discovered on the island, is found in the Corbett's Gap area of the Knuckles Range.
