1896. Status unknown. Active; focal plane 20 m (66 ft); two white flashes every 10 s. 20 m (66 ft) tower, described by NGA as an "iron latticework obelisk." Mullaittivu is a small port in the area. The town was devastated by the tsunami of December 26, 2004, but the lighthouse survived.
