King Mayadunne's (Seethawake) Palace built in 1534 A.D. which, was later destroyed by the Dutch and turned into a Fort too is situated in Maniyamgama, off the Avissawella town The Keerthi Sri Rajasingha Raja Maha Len Viharaya is a temple constructed almost within a cave and huge sleeping (sathepena) Buddha too lies within the Viharaya The Balumgala which can be seen from near the temple supposedly acted as a 'look out? point, the villagers used to get prior warning of enemies approaching the Kingdom
